What have I learnt in the year 2023 via my coding life?

What a tough one, I must say. Before going into this discussion, I must admit that my 2023 hadn’t really been the most productive one but a breakthrough was made towards the end of the year, well… somewhat of a breakthrough. So, towards the end of the year, I joined a group which made me much more intentional and active towards my progress in tech. Here I go with the list of what I learnt;

Doing more projects, even though I may not be an expert, was essential in building the little I did know and sharing them on my social media so fellow techies like me who I follow could see them and help with pointers, corrections and directions because that is just how to get better.

Being part of a local tech community and actively participating and contributing in them helped me become more engaged in the whole idea of it. Seeing others ahead of me, seeing those in the same level as me, striving to get to the higher levels and all, it did something in putting the whole tech life in clearer focus.

Connecting more with my fellow techies in a more personal level also helped in hitting home the reality of it all.

I know when this topic came up, what was expected of me was to talk about perhaps what I learnt in HTML, CSS, maybe even Script in detail but the truth is, for the year 2023, I didn’t learn any new thing per se in tech but I still wouldn’t call it a year wasted in tech because now I have been able to get a clearer understanding of what I’m getting into, how I’m going to go about it in this new year and I am very sure and certain that this year would be 200% more productive than last year because of these insights I’ve gotten on this whole journey, Thank you for taking your time to read through this. Hopefully, it helps someone out there who is having the same problem I had integrating into tech and growing. Have a lovely year of gro

wth.
